Client: Science Centre Singapore and A*STAR
For the Singapore Science Festival 2016, BBS worked with organisers Science Centre Singapore and A*STAR to profile the Festival through local mainstream, business, parenting, and lifestyle media. Our work for the Festival won Bronze in the 2017 PR Awards for Best Government Sector PR campaign.
Through targeted media pitching opportunities and an ongoing story pipeline, BBS strengthened the Festival’s reputation as the leading science event in Singapore, and educated the public about the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics as the building blocks to Singapore’s Smart Nation vision.
Our strategy was to create conversations about science leveraging the 2016 theme “Build Your Smart Future”, to inspire the public, particularly children and young people, to develop an interest in science and STEM.
This included not only inviting media to cover the key activities, but pitching prominent scientist profiles and creating discussions about the science and education landscape in Singapore to get Singaporeans talking about the importance of science.
